FACT: Drowning is the number one cause of death for  children under age 4.
FACT: 88% of drowning victims were under some sort of supervision at the time of the incident.
FACT: 75% of drowning victims were missing for under five minutes.
FACT: Formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 88% for children aged 1 to 4 years.
FACT: Loss of consciousness occurs within 2 minutes and permanent brain damage will occur in 4 - 6 minutes.
